Hey, Karismatic fans!

Are you hesitant to jump on the social media bandwagon? Still, think it’s just a passing fad? Just don’t have the time or staff to dedicate to making an actual presence?

Perhaps you’ve got a Facebook page for your business, but you don’t keep up with it that much. No matter how much or how little you may have done so far, it’s important to establish and continue an online presence for your business. Why you may ask?

Because your competitors are doing it! And if you don’t jump in the ring now, someone else will be getting the business.

So here are some Karismatic Facebook tips to get you started on your journey. Stay tuned next month for our tips on Twitter and Instagram.

Getting Started with Facebook

When setting up your Facebook account, be sure to complete your About section with your business category, contact information, hours of operation, short and long descriptions, and everything else it asks you. Don’t skimp! Upload your profile photo, which can be your logo or another photo that represents your business. Then add an engaging banner photo that will attract attention on your page. We suggest changing your banner photo every two to five weeks.

Then be sure to add an Action Button to your page. You can select from Facebook’s options, which include: Shop Now, Donate, Call Now, Book Now, Contact Us, Sign Up, and more.

So what do you post? The options are almost endless. And what works for one business may not work for you. Here are a few suggestions to get you started:
• Status Updates – short
• Educational information
• Entertaining posts
• Empowering thoughts
• Behind the Scenes photos and details
• Product features
• Videos – 15-30 second spots work best
• Blog article links
• Audio clips
• Current events as they relate to your industry
• Fan Spotlight/Customer Brag

A Few More Facebook Tips

Facebook is a visual medium and is usually consumer focused, so use pictures with your posts as often as possible. And although there’s not a character limit on Facebook, posts with 250 characters or less get the most attention. And we do suggest that you post between one to three times each day, including weekends!

BONUS TIP: When setting up social media accounts, keep all of your social media profile names the same or very similar to avoid any brand confusion regarding your product(s) or company name.

Still don’t feel comfortable finding time to manage your own social media? No problem!
